A very moving place to visit, the memorial village of Oradour Sur Glane. This place has been left as it was after the massacre of the whole village in World War 2. You just can’t begin to imagine the horror these people witnessed. 642 men, women, and children were murdered and to this day no universally excepted explanation has ever been published. Of course there is no explanation, who could explain why this ever happened. For more information visit http://www.oradour.info/

Ben was really enjoying writing new words the other day, so we decided to give him a really long one, you know that one that Mary Poppins goes on about in that film that’s on every christmas!

Just fancied posting a recent shot of Ben. I took whilst setting up the off camera flash to shoot Bex for the previous Vampire shot. He actually smiled quite nicely here, for a change. He generally likes to pull a really daft face, or better still hide.

Well being a fan of the series (well mine and Bex’s love of all things vampire means we like it by default), means that at some point I’d get Bex to agree to having a photo shot for the purpose of vamping it up.
So here is my first go at creating a Twilight vampire called Bex, she actually doesn’t particularly like these versions of her, I think she just doesn’t like photos of herself whatever the processing!

Taken on the beach front in Shanklin, Isle of Wight. This was on Christmas Eve 2010 having a nice walk around Shanklin. We do the same walk pretty much every time we go down. Start at my Mums house, head for the Olde Village, down Chine road, past the Chine Inn, down to the front close to Fishermans Cottage, then right along the beach front, then back up either the cliff lift or if we are feeling energetic the steep road.

Another shot from the recent wedding at Oxwich Bay, Wales. This was taken up by the ruined castle, we took both wedding cars up to the castle for a few shots. The rain kept coming down in small showers, but we got some nice shots so it was well worth it.

This is a shot of Bex that I have posted previously as a black and white shot. I’ve reposted it because I was sorting out my portfolio and saw it again, and fancied having another go at it, so here it is, I love it, it really shows emotion. She’s actually dancing to Guns N Roses, but last time it was posted people thought all sorts was going on.

This is the first of a few shots I’ll be posting from Gaynor and Steve’s wedding by the sea. It took place at the Oxwich Bay Hotel. With a marquee right by the beach, a ruined castle round the corner, the fantastic Oxwich Bay beach and wedding cars that couldn’t be cooler, a VW camper van and an old school soft top beetle, I knew the photo’s were going to be great.
So this is the first, after numerous group shots, and a visit to the castle, we then ventured down to the beach with anybody that wanted to come down. So the usual suspects, being all the guys, a few brides maids and a couple of other close friends and family headed down to the sea.
The weather had been changeable all day, but it held off whilst we were down on the beach, thankfully.

This is the Keating TKR being displayed at the University of Bolton. The Duke of Kent was visiting the university so this was brought in by its designer Anthony Keating as part of the visit.

Here is another shot from Beth and Craig’s wedding. This was one of there bridesmaids, she liked pulling faces at me, although she did smile nicely for a few shots. I like this one because you can just see her reflection in the glass, and you can see the detail in her hair. I know lots of effort goes into getting everyones hair right, so a shot like this is probably appreciated.
